Norwood Light Broadband (NLB) is helping the Ecumenical Community Food Pantry of Norwood raise funds to help Norwood residents this holiday season.
NLB will donate $50.00 for every customer who switches their Cable TV, Internet and/or Telephone service from Comcast or Verizon to the Town’s Broadband network in December.
NLB will also donate $20.00 to the Food Pantry for every current Broadband customer who upgrades their service in December.
“We are very happy to partner with Norwood Light Broadband to raise funds to enable us to continue helping Norwood residents get through these difficult times”, says Nicholas Campagna, President of the Ecumenical Community Food Pantry of Norwood Board of Directors.
John Carroll, General Manager of Norwood said, “The Food Pantry provides a great service to Norwood residents year round, and deserves all of the support that we can give them. At the same time, the Town is fortunate to have their own Broadband network that not only provides a low-cost alternative to the national companies, but also helps provides essential service to our residents and businesses”.
You can help make a gift of non-perishable food directly to the food pantry at 150 Chapel Street (rear entrance of Grace Episcopal Church) Thursday mornings from 8:30 to 9:30 am or Saturday mornings from 7:30 to 11:00 am. Or you can put it in the pantry’s regular collection boxes, which are located at the Morrill Memorial Library and at the local Hannaford, Shaw’s, and Stop & Shop supermarkets.
