Volunteers are needed on Thursday mornings from 8-10 AM to sort food and restock pantry shelves. Thursday volunteers work whenever they are able. The Ecumenical Community Food Pantry of Norwood serves over 270 low income families and individuals each year. Training is provided for newcomers each Thursday morning. Volunteers come when they are able. This work requires some bending and lifting although most of us are over 65 years of age and then some!

Hi, My name is Carole Humphreys from the BostonCollege Campus School. Our classroom has been collecting canned and dry goods for a food pantry. As a resident of Norwood I suggested the Norwood Food pantry's shelves to stalk. Our students have been working on this as a community project, and we would like to come and deliver our donations. We would need to have a handicap accessible entrance as our students are are in wheelchairs. There would be approximately 5 students and 5 staff to make the delivery, one morning in mid February. We have two wheel chair vans and if this seems like something that could be accommodated we would appreciate hearing from you as we trying to locate a place such as this. You can e-mail me at Humphrca@BC.edu. Thankyou.
