1. Head to Jake 'n Joes for their weekly Cornhole Tournament tonight starting at 8 p.m. It's free to sign up and games are played on the patio (weather permitting). Great prizes each week!

2. The Women's Community Committee Thrift Shop will be open today from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. For more information click here.

3. Be sure to check out our new Patch Book Club feature! This week, we take a look at the national bestseller, "Born to Run: A Hidden Tribe, Super Athletes, and the Greatest Race the World Has Never Seen" by Christopher McDougall.

4. Time to clean out those closets! The NHS Girls Volleyball team is collecting any size/shape old sneakers as a fundraiser to help with the cost of warm ups for their fall season. The girls will receive funds for every pound of sneakers that are collected. Email Mariereen@aol.com to arrange pick up or you can drop them off on Saturday, Aug. 18.

5. Senior Bowling is offered every Thursday at the Norwood Sports Center at 9:30 a.m. This is a mixed league and three strings are played for $6.
