3. Historian Gary Hylander will return to the Morrill Library tonight at 7 p.m., on the 50th anniversary of the Cuban Missile Crisis, to talk about the most dangerous confrontation of the Cold War. For 13 days in October, the United States and the Soviet Union teetered on the brink of nuclear war. This program is funded by Outreach Librarian Nancy Tupper Ling to honor the birthday of her father, Russ Tupper. 4. Donate your gently used coats to the Norwood Rotary Coat Drive to benefit the Norwood Community Ecumenical Food Pantry. Donation locations are Town Hall, Public Safety Offices, Civic Center, Coakley Middle School, Norwood High School, Xaverian Brothers High School, Norwood Podiatry Offices, and the Senior Center.
5. Senior Bowling is offered every Thursday at the Norwood Sports Center at 9:30 a.m. This is a mixed league and three strings are played for $6.
