How Do We Love Thee, Norwood? Let's Count The Ways

Add your favorite things about the town to our incomplete list.

Valentine's Day doesn't just have to be about couples and candy.  It's a love holiday, and we all know there's lots to love about Norwood.

To start, there's:

  1. Town pride.  Whether it's on Norwood Day in September, or at a high school football game, or just stuck at a red light in the Center, you can't turn your head without seeing blue, yellow, and the running Mustang.
  2. Food, food, and more food!  There is a restaurant or shop for every taste in Norwood - breakfast, lunch, and dinnerSteak tips and burgers, to fine Italian and Thai fusion.  All right here in Norwood.
  3. Community involvement.  Norwood maintains a Town Meeting government that allows a huge number of residents to be decision-makers, but it isn't just there that we see Norwood folks getting involved.  From working to make Norwood schools better, to donating to the food pantry, or participating in public hearings before the town Selectmen, there are always citizens working to improve their own community.
  4. You welcomed us to town!  In recent months we have received more emails and comments than ever before, and more and more Norwood residents are showing us some Patch love - emailing, uploading photos, and getting in on our Facebook and Twitter pages.  We love you for that!

Can we get to 10 things we love about this town?  20?

Leave your answer in the comments section. Let's give Norwood the Valentine it deserves!

I love love love the Norwood Library. I've been taking The Four-Year-Old to it since she was a (relatively) tiny 6 month old, and I love that Miss Jane and Miss Kelly always have a warm welcome and a hug ready for her. And as a freelance writer who works mostly while her daughter is in school, I love the quiet working environment and free WiFi the library provides on those days when I need an office away from home.
