Callahan School Scholarship application deadline May 4

The Callahan School PTA is pleased to offer two $500 scholarships to any student who has graduated from the Callahan School in Norwood. The award committee, comprised of parents and teachers, will select the two recipients prior to the end of the school year. The selection is based not only on academic achievement, but on overall growth and development as well. Applications are available in the Guidance Offices at the following schools: Norwood High School, Blue Hills, Xaverian, Norfolk County Agricultural School and at the Callahan School. Applications must be received at the Callahan School by Friday, May 4, 2012.

Balch Elementary School PTO Meeting, April 11, at 7:00 p.m.

The Balch Elementary School PTO will hold their monthly meeting tonight at 7:00 p.m. in the school's library. All are welcome to attend. Help make a difference at your child’s school by joining the PTO.

Norwood Parent Music Association Meeting

The Norwood Parents Music Association (PMA) will meet at the Norwood High School at 6:30 p.m. tonight. The PMA was founded in 1974 and they have been a key component in the development and maintenance of the excellent music program in the Norwood Public Schools.

Spring Recess: April vacation week in Norwood Schools

Norwood public schools close on Friday, April 13, at the end of the regular session for April vacation. There is no school next week, April 16– 20. School resumes on Monday, April 23.

Fundraiser: NHS Post-Prom Party Presents Hypnotist Jim Spinnato

Join this family-friendly event, open to the public to benefit the Post-Prom Party at Norwood High School Friday, April 13, at 7:00 p.m. in the Norwood High School auditorium. The cost is $10 per person.
