Thanksgiving Day Final: Norwood 41, Dedham 6

Norwood was able to build up a big lead early to defeat Dedham Thanksgiving Day.

 

 

The Norwood High football team ended its season with a 41-6 win over Dedham, Thanksgiving morning.

In the first quarter, Norwood built up a 13-0 lead over Dedham. The Mustangs got touchdowns from Marvin Beasley and Jason Matovu.

In the second quarter, Matovu scored his second touchdown of the game for a 20-0 lead.

Beasley scored his second touchdown of the game on a punt return at 10:30 mark of the second quarter.

Norwood recovered a fumble at the Dedham 30-yard line. The Mustangs' Pat Foley turned into a touchdown run for 34-0. Norwood added another score for a 41-0 lead.

In the fourth quarter, Dedham prevented the shut out with a touchdown pass, but the extra point was blocked, 41-6.

Norwood finishes the season with a 3-8 overall record, while Dedham, who played an independent schedule ended 1-11.
