The 10th annual Norwood Day celebration will be held this Saturday, Sept. 15, in the center of town.

Norwood Day buttons are $3 in advance and $4 the day of the event, and give the wearer access to the Taste of Norwood food tent, trolleys, rides, the rock wall, and other games and activities. Buttons can be purchased at the Civic Center, Morrill Library, and the Town Hall, as well as at the fireworks Friday night.

The following is a basic schedule and outline of the events that will be going on over the weekend:

FRIDAY, Sept. 14

The Norwood Police and Fire softball game that was to be held Friday evening has been postponed. A new date will be announced.

8 p.m. - Fireworks at the Coakley Middle School sponsored by T.G.I. Friday's and The Gallery Automotive Group

SATURDAY, Sept. 15

9 a.m. - Norwood Hospital Road Race and Walk (registration is 7-8:30 a.m. in front of the hospital on Washington St.)

9:30 a.m. - Norwood Day Parade begins at the Morrill Library and continues through town to the gazebo on the Town Common

9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. - Norwood Day activities on the Town Common

11 a.m. - Showings of the short film "The Red Balloon" and tours of the Norwood Theater will be offered every two hours
