Norwood Man Arrested on Drugs, Weapons Charges
Detectives of the Norfolk County Police Anti-Crime Task Force arrested David Max Malacaria, of Norwood, Thursday afternoon.
Police assisted detectives of the Norfolk County Police Anti-Crime Task Force with the arrest of David Max Malacaria, 22, of Norwood, Thursday afternoon.
Malacaria will be charged with possession of a class D narcotic with intent to distribute and carrying a dangerous weapon.
The arrest came after an investigation by the task force which includes Norwood Police Detectives along with detectives from numerous other communities.

"The detectives executed a search warrant yesterday at 351 Washington Street, where Malacaria resides," Norwood police spokesman Kevin Grasso said. "Detectives did remove evidence and contraband relating to the investigation. While conducting the search a double edged knife was found in the room occupied by Malacaria."
Malacaria was subsequently arrested by Norwood Detective Richard Giacoppo for possession to distribute class D (marijuana) and carrying a dangerous weapon. He was scheduled to be arraigned this morning at Dedham District Court.

Grasso stated this is still an open investigation and no further information is available at this time.
