Norwood Police Log: Hit and Run, Shoplifting at Stop & Shop

Monday, Jan. 14
5:38 p.m. - Officer reported a tarp on the roof of the Oldham School is over a spotlight and tarp is beginning to burn. Norwood Fire and Custodian responded. School Deparment will inform contractor.
Tuesday, Jan. 15
2:45 p.m. - Caller reported vehicle hit while parked at work on Edgewater Drive. Police filed a report.
3:14 p.m. - Caller reported syringe found at Sumner and Union streets. Officer found and disposed of the same.
4:32 p.m. - Caller reported parked, unoccupied vehicle struck on Vanderbilt Avenue by a dark colored SUV. Police filed a report.
5:20 p.m. - Caller at Stop & Shop reported a shoplifter. As a result, police arrested William Bush, of Brockton, for shoplifting by asportation.
7:21 p.m. - Caller on Gay Street reported breaking and entering to house. Police filed a report.
