Norwood Police Log: High Schooler Arrested for Larceny, Drunk Male in Stop & Shop

Highlights from the daily police logs. Arrest information does not indicate a conviction.

 

Monday, September 24

6:15 a.m. - Janitor reported vandalism to property at the Willett School over the weekend. Police responded, filed a report.

7:28 a.m. - Caller reported motor vehicle accident on University Ave. Responding officer stated no personal injury, two vehicles towed from the scene.

8:00 a.m. - Caller at the Golden Living Center reported office window open and door kicked in. A safe was missing from the office. Officers responded, the incident is under investigation.

4:57 p.m. - Caller on Spruce Rd. reported fight at home with injury. Officers responding to the house issued a BOLO for two suspects who left the area. No arrests made, police filed a report.

5:09 p.m. - Caller at CVS Pharmacy on Nahatan St. reported a shoplifter left the store and is walking in the parking lot. As a result, police located and arrested Lelis J. Morales, of Norwood, for shoplifting by asportation, trespassing and resisting arrest.

Tuesday, September 25

12:14 a.m. - Burglar alarm at Keegan Jewelers on Washington St. Officers responded, checked windows and doors, reported everything in order.

Wednesday, September 26

8:30 a.m. - Traffic Supervisor reported a female party with blonde hair, wearing black shorts and a grey or white top, relieved herself in the woods of Shattuck Park and took off running down Belmont St. Officers reported an area search negative.

9:21 a.m. - Caller reported a drunk male was in Home Depot and has now entered Stop & Shop. As a result, police brought one to the station in protective custody.

10:41 a.m. - Caller reported larceny at the high school. As a result one juvenile female (16) was arrested for larceny over $250.

9:14 p.m. - Officers stopped a vehicle at Nahatan and Pleasant streets. As a result, two Quincy residents were arrested for underage possession, carrying of alcohol.
