Norwood Police Log: Marijuana Possession at Norwood High, Break-In and Assault on Norton Dr.

Friday, September 21
9:30 a.m. - Caller at Norwood High School reported a drug law violation. Responding officer reported possession of under an ounce of marijuana, citation issued.
12:50 p.m. - Caller at Work Out World on Boston-Providence Highway reported her car window was smashed and her purse was stolen while she was at the gym. Police filed a report.
5:09 p.m. - Walk-in to the department reported a male on Nahatan St. took $20 from her purse and then pulled her friend's pocketbook from her and assaulted her with it. As a result, police arrested Steven M. Bonner, no address, for larceny under $250 and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
Saturday, September 22
10:51 a.m. - Caller on Bahama Dr. reported tires slashed. Police filed a report.
12:11 p.m. - Female 911 caller reported possible breaking and entering on Norton Dr. Responding officers report female stated a Hispanic male, around 6 feet tall and wearing a black hoodie, broke into her home and assaulted her. Her description of the suspect was sent out to all NPD cars, incident still under investigation.
4:29 p.m. - Caller at Hannaford Market on Walpole St. reported shoplifting. Police filed a report.
Sunday, September 23
12:59 a.m. - Caller reported fight going on at St. Paul Ave. and Washington St. Responding officers reported argument between two females and two males, one left the area upon officers arrival. No arrests made.
1:42 p.m. - Caller on Village Rd. W reported kids from complex, 8-12 years old, got in a fight. Responding officer spoke to kids and parents. Police filed a report.
