Norwood Police Log: Shoplifting from Home Depot, Juvenile Assault Arrest

Wednesday, September 19
11:41 a.m. - Caller reported altercation on Route 1 outside of Home Depot. Home Depot also called to report shoplifting. As a result, police arrested Maliek Anderson, of Dorchester, for larceny over $250 and one outstanding warrant.
4:04 p.m. - Caller at Jack Madden Ford on Boston-Providence Highway reported person stealing funds. As a result, police issued a complaint/summons.
6:21 p.m. - Walk-in to the department reported black, soft-style briefcase taken from motor vehicle in front of Napper Tandy's on Day St. Police filed a report.
10:03 p.m. - Caller at Pleasant Pl. reported his 15-year-old daughter was physically assaulted by an aquaintance. As a result, police brought one juvenile (15) to the station under arrest for assault and battery.
Thursday, September 20
1:10 p.m. - Caller reported motor vehicle accident on Upland Rd. Two vehicles towed from the scene. Police filed a report.
6:37 p.m. - Officer reported small mulch fire at Vanderbilt Ave. and River Ridge Rd. Norwood Fire responded, extinguished the fire.
