Norwood Police Log: Syringes Found on Street, Sick Raccoon in Yard

Monday, Dec. 3
10:05 a.m. - Walk-in to the department reported a person put a device inside of her and he is communicating with her that way. Officer spoke to her and advised her that when a doctor finds the device police will follow up.
12:58 p.m. - Caller reported found syringe on Winter St. Officer responded and removed the same.
2:53 p.m. - Caller on George St. reported syringe on the street. Officer responded and removed the same.
4:39 p.m. - Caller at Shaw's Supermarket reported store security detaining a shoplifter. Officer to file a Complaint Application and report.
5:37 p.m. - Caller at Rite Aid on Walpole St. reported employee lockers were entered. BOLO issued to cars for a white male, 5'10", 160 lbs., thin, balding but side hair, scruffy face, wearing a long sleeve dark shirt with long sleeve white shirt underneath, dark pants, white sneakers with some black on them. No arrest made.
11:15 p.m. - Caller on Rock St. reported house broken into some time during the day. Police filed a report.
Tuesday, Dec. 4
10:02 a.m. - Caller reported sick raccoon in yard on Cameron Rd. Animal Control handled the call.
2:18 p.m. - Management on Buckminster Dr. reported resident was assaulted. Other party gone. Report filed.
