Norwood Theatre Hosts Kids' Artist Mister G
The singer and songwriter of educational children's tunes will be in town Saturday afternoon performing songs from his newly released album "Chocolalala."
This weekend the Norwood Theatre will host Northampton-based music educator and touring "kindie" artist Mister G, who will be playing songs from his newly released album "Chocolalala."
Over the past few years, Mister G has been traveling and performing original, bilingual songs for children in Latin America and around the USA, according to a press release. "Chocolalala," is a bilingual collection of songs blending Latin rhythms, traditional instruments, and Mister G's song-writing for children.
Mister G is Ben Gundersheimer, a singer, songwriter, and producer who spent 20 years as a rock frontman and solo artist before transitioning to making family music. A graduate of Amherst College and Berklee College of Music, Gundersheimer toured internationally before going back to school to earn a masters degree in elementary education at Smith College.
His Norwood Theatre debut will be Saturday, Oct. 6 at 2:30 p.m. Tickets to the show are $7 for adults and $5 for children.
