Police Arrest Four for Drug-Related Offenses
On Friday the Norwood Police Anti-Crime unit arrested four people after conductive surveillance on a local apartment complex.

On Friday Jan. 4, 2013, Norwood Police Officers assigned to an anti-crime unit were conducting surveillance on a local apartment complex, when they observed a 27-year-old male known to them as Kevin Cunningham, of Norwood, stop by an apartment there, enter then exit quickly, then leave the area.
Cunningham was driving a vehicle, and in addition to be an unlicensed driver he has a history of drug activity which plainclothes officers felt his quick visit was consistent with. Officers followed Cunningham out of the area at which time they requested a marked unit pull him over for Operating without Being Licensed. Upon being stopped, Cunningham attempted to ingest some illegally obtained Percocet that he had just purchased, and in doing so he spilled a number of pills throughout the vehicle which officers saw in plain sight. Percocet is a brand name for the drug Oxycodone, an opiate based narcotic. Cunningham was additionally charged with unlawful possession of this Percocet, a Class B drug under MGL 94C.
Investigation into where Cunningham obtained the Percocet revealed that he just obtained them illegally from Laura Tansey, a 41-year-old female from Norwood. Tansey has a drug history with prescription medication, and currently has two open cases out of the Dedham District Court where she received continued without a finding dispositions. As a result of the investigation Tansey was placed under arrest and charged with one count of Distribution of Class B Percocet for her sale of the drug to Cunningham. While conducting a search of the apartment where Tansey was staying, officers recovered in excess of 50 more Percocet, sheets documenting her drug customers, and other notes related to her sales of the drug. Tansy was additionally charged with Possession of Class B Percocet with Intent to Distribute.
The officers learned that Tansey’s drug supplier Stephen Larkin, a 50-year-old male from Berkley, Massachusetts was on his way to Norwood to supply Tansey with more Percocet. Within a short time, Larkin was spotted in the area where he was intercepted by Norwood plainclothes officers. On Larkin’s person and in his vehicle officers recovered 155 Oxycodone pills packed in 31 packages of five each, prepared for sale. Larkin admitted to officers that he has been selling the drug to Tansey for about two years. Larkin was charged with Possession with Intent to Distribute Class B Percocet, and Trafficking in Opiates due to the fact that Oxycodone is an opiate.
During the course of this investigation, investigating officers saw a text come through on Tansey’s phone when she was being booked, from Lucia Olefsky a 27-year-old female from Norwood. The officers located Olefsky and placed her under arrest for Possession with Intent to Distribute Class B Morphine. Morphine tablets were found on Olefsky when she was arrested.
All four defendants were scheduled to be arraigned in Dedham District Court Friday, Jan. 4 at 9 a.m.
