Police Logs, Dec. 29 - Jan. 2

Highlights from the daily police logs.

 

Wednesday, Dec. 29:

9:10 a.m. - Police were called when a motor vehicle spun out on the on-ramp to 95 South. The vehicle was stuck in the snow and towed by Interstate. No injuries were reported.

11:14 a.m. - A citizen called to report their credit cards stolen and used in several purchases. Officers filed a larceny report.

5:51 p.m. - Caller reported theft of snow shovels form a residence on Fulton St. Officers filed a report.

9:26 p.m. - Police placed Zaida Feliciano of Norwood under arrest for negligent operation of a motor vehicle after receiving a call of a disabled motor vehicle on Pleasant St. Police reported Feliciano operating the vehicle with a suspended license.

Thursday, Dec. 30:

7:14 a.m. - Caller reported a motor vehicle crash on Walpole St. with possible injuries. Responding officers reported a vehicle into a pole. None were transported to the hospital.

2:19 p.m. - Department received a walk-in report of larceny when a woman reported her boyfriend stole from their shared storage unit at Pods on Canton St.

Friday, Dec. 31:

3:43 a.m. - A caller on Mylod St. reported a suspicious male in a camoflauge jacket who ran away at seeing a DPW truck. Police located the subject, placed him under protective custody and released him to a responsible party in Walpole.

9:41 a.m. - Resident on Hemlock St. reports breaking and entering. Officers filed a report.

Saturday, Jan. 1:

12:35 p.m. - Caller reports a car fire on the 95 off-ramp to Neponset St. Police, Norwood Fire and State Police responded, State Police handled the situation.

3:32 p.m. - A party in the lobby of 111 Block on Lenox St. reports a suspicious white male in the parking lot near Boston Market asking people for money for gas. As a result responding officers placed Sean Edward Wagner of Norwood under arrest for an outstanding warrant.

5:10 p.m. - Police arrested Donald Anthony Venterosa for assault and battery after responding to a domestic disturbance on Railroad Ave. Responding officers reported the disturbance between father and daughter.

Sunday, Jan. 2:

7:29 a.m. - Caller from the South Norwood area reported a power outage. Norwood Light was notified of the issue.

4:27 p.m. - Police received a report of a car fire at Chrysler Jeep and Dodge of Norwood on Route 1. Norwood Fire responded as well and Interstate towed the vehicle.
