Rep. Rogers Welcomes Home Master Sergeant Dennis Mawn

Representative John H. Rogers presented a Citation from the House of Representatives to Master Sergeant Dennis Mawn during his recent visit to the State House.

 

Representative John H. Rogers presented a Citation from the House of Representatives to Master Sergeant Dennis Mawn during his recent visit to the State House.  Rogers thanked MSG Mawn for his service and welcomed him home from his deployment in Iraq.

Master Sergeant Mawn served with the Joint Forces Special Operations Component Command-Iraq.  He was awarded the Defense Meritorious Service Medal for exceptionally meritorious service as the Protective Security Officer to the Commanding General for Join Forces Special Operations Component Command-Iraq from December 16, 2010 to November 20, 2011 during Operation New Dawn.

“The Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the people of Norwood, especially, are entirely grateful to Dennis Mawn for his outstanding service to his country,” Rogers said during the State House ceremonies.

“On a personal note, I’m grateful to God that my dear friend Dennis is home safe,” Rogers said.

It is a great article about a great man. So glad Dennis is home again safely. Thank you Dennis for your honor and service to our country. Both as a solider and a fireman. We are all so grateful .Thought of you everyday. Our own Rep. John Rogers another man of honor , who better to give you this well deserved citation. Two men of honor who make difference each day for their community and country. We all are truly blessed to know you both. I know I am blessed and thankful. Welcome Home Dennis. Thank you. God bless you both and your families.
