The Last Hurrah Schedule of Events

You are invited to join the Norwood High School Alumni Association as they celebrate the history of the “old” Norwood Senior High School.  

A free daytime open house is planned from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 11. Residents are encouraged to bring children, parents, grandparents, and take one last walk through the halls of a cherished town memory.    

Although the event is free, bring your wallets! Student groups and teams will be there to fundraise. There will be memorabilia for sale, games to play, and snacks to enjoy as you stroll through a “once in a lifetime” event. Below is a partial list of items for sale and activity highlights:  

• The Norwood High School PTO will be selling orders for Engravable Commemorative Bricks that will be placed in the walkway of the high school.
• The NHS school library will be selling bookplates to be placed in the library’s collection. Honor your family or your class with a gift to the library.  
• Framed and frame-able photographs of Norwood High School will be available.  
• The Varsity Co-ed Cheerleading Squad will be selling a very unique, and special Norwood Mustangs bead that fits many different bracelets (Pandora, Biagi, Troll).
• The Norwood Football Parents Group will be selling Mustang Umbrellas, Mustang Stadium Blankets, and White Beach towels with the Mustang logo.  
• The Norwood Aquatics Club/High School Swim Team will be selling “Property of Norwood Swimming" t-shirts, rubber “Norwood Pride” bracelets, car stickers, and a bake sale complete with delicious Richie’s Italian Ice. They will also have a duck pond game with prizes for the little ones, and a 50/50 raffle.  
• The Spirit Club will be on hand with megaphones full of popcorn.
• The Friendship Club will be holding a bake sale.  
• The Norwood High School Girls' Volleyball Squad will be selling t-shirts, volleyball cookies, and “Norwood” plastic cups.
• The Norwood Boosters Club will be selling Norwood hats, and a variety of other Norwood Mustang apparel.  
• The Norwood High School Boys’ Hockey Team will be selling memorabilia and creating a visual history of Hockey at Norwood High School.      
• The Environmental Youth Coalition will be selling water bottles with an image of the clock tower and reusable shopping bags.  
• The Norwood High School Alumni Association will be selling “Last Hurrah” t-shirts, and “drink caddies” as well as magnets with an image of the old “School on the Hill.”
• The Math Club will be selling "Pies."
