You Ask, Patch Answers: Jackson's Ski and Snowboard Shop is Now Closed
After many years of being in business, the ski shop has decided to close its doors.
A concerned reader noticed that Jackson's Ski and Snowboard shop was closed, and they were wondering if it went out of business.
The owners have confirmed with Patch that they are now closed.
"We want to thank all of our loyal customers for the continued support year after year," the owner said in a statement. "Closing was a necessary but very difficult decision to make."
The owners wouldn't go into details behind the closing, but they wanted to recommend Ski Stop, 256 Washington St. in Westwood, for customers who were looking for equipment.
They also made an agreement with Ski Stop to take back gear from JR Lease customers.
"The staff is experienced and extremely knowledgeable in the field. You will receive the customer service that you are accustomed to," the owner said. "Phil, the owner, welcomes Jackson’s customers and guarantees that the experience and customer support will be of the highest level."

the phone number listed in the store window is disconnected. they have screwed a lot of people. trying to reach the owner so I can use a merchandise credit that was issued shortly before they closed. they could have told me to use the credit quickly (or better yet, given me cash back). It appears it is not an inventory situation, they went out of business in the prime of the ski season.

when they were down on rte 1 the owner was a jerk - i had my 2 year old w me couple years ago & she was afraid of the dog that was roaming the store. I asked if the dog could be put on a leash or in a storage room while we browsed & he said no & 'this is his home' so i walked out & purchased elsewhere. Country Ski on rte 1 Westwood (next to AAA) have always treated me well. Glad they will prob pick up some new biz from this.

I like Ski Stop in Westwood (near the CVS in Islington), too, good old fashioned customer service by a mom & pop store.
