The American Lung Association recently released the results of a study that compared states' efforts to cut down the number of residents that smoke. Massachusetts received an "F" rating for both prevention and creating programs that help smokers quit. According to the study, Massachusetts spent only 11 percent of the $90 million in funding recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
