Celebrate Dedham’s rich architectural history with a self-guided walking tour of wonderful homes in one of Dedham’s historic neighborhoods. This year’s tour will include four historic homes, a historic church, and the former Gay Tavern recently restored as a rector’s residence. The tour also includes the Fairbanks House, the oldest timber frame house in New England. The tour will take place rain or shine. We welcome children age ten or older.
Refreshments and tea will be served along the way. Your tickets may be picked up the day of the tour at The Dedham Historical Society, 612 High Street; beginning at 11:30 am. These fabulous buildings may be viewed from noon until 4 pm. As an extra bonus, the Dedham Open Studios will have several artist studios in the area open and free of charge for you to explore.

The Historical Society welcomes both members and non-members to visit the museum and library, although it is recommended to call ahead if you are planning to do research.
