Biggest Loser Winner to be at Plant Fitness Grand Opening

Patrick House, the Season 10 winner of The Biggest Loser will be visiting the new Planet Fitness in Norwood to celebrate the club's grand opening, Tuesday, Jan. 7, from 5 to 7 p.m. The ribbon cutting will be at 5:30 p.m. The facility is located at 418 Walpole St., Rte. 1A in Norwood. KISS 108 will be broadcasting live from the event and Jasper White's Summer Shack will be catering the event.

Museum Passes Available at Morrill Memorial Library
The Morrill Memorial Library has museum passes available. During school vacation week, you are limited to two passes per family. Passes may be reserved online or at the library information desk or by calling 781-769-0200, ext. 222. Passes may be reserved only by Norwood residents or by people working in Norwood full time. You may be asked for proof of residency or employment when you pick up the pass at the library. A valid Minuteman Library Network card is required to reserve a pass. National Alliance for Mentally Ill to Meet Jan.2
The National Alliance for the Mentally Ill--South Norfolk affiliate  will hold its monthly meeting in Cafeteria B of the Lorusso Building at Norwood Hospital, Thursday, Jan.2, at 7 p.m. Mental illness is a label for a variety of diseases of the brain. Often it strikes in late adolescence, devastating the afflicted person and the family. The Alliance is composed of such families who find mutual support and join together to advocate for their loved ones. Look Good, Feel Better Session at Norwood Hospital Cancer Center
Norwood Hospital Cancer Center at Foxboro will host an American Cancer Society sponsored Look Good…Feel Better session, Monday, Jan. 13. Volunteer beauty professionals will teach female cancer patients beauty techniques to help restore their self-image during chemotherapy and radiation treatments. Women will learn about makeup techniques, skincare, nail care and options related to hair loss such as wigs, turbans and scarves.
