A free weight loss information seminar will be held Wednesday, Jan. 15, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Norwood Hospital’s Center for Weight Control, Abraham-Sieracki Conference Room, 800 Washington Street, Norwood. Norwood Hospital’s Weight Loss Center Medical Director Adam Glasgow, MD. is an expert in the field of weight loss and was recently featured on local and national television. Marchena to Play Guitar Concert in Medfield
Norwood's Steve Marchena, whose guitar artistry ranges from classical to contemporary, will perform at the Medfield Public Library, Sunday, Jan. 12, at 3 p.m. Admission is free. Marchena is currently the Guitar Instructor-In-Residence at Bentley University in Waltham.
Norwood Retired Men's Club to Meet Jan. 14
The first meeting in the 28th year for the Norwood Retired Men’s Club will be Tuesday, Jan. 14, 10 a.m. in the Norwood Elks. President Tom Tobin will again lead for the 2014 year. They will be selling tickets for their 11th annual Valentine dinner. It will be held at the Apollo this year and will be open to the general public as well. The price will be $30 per person. You will have a choice of scrod or prime rib. It will be at noon on Tuesday, Feb. 11. Tables of 10 can be reserved in advance. There will be a limited number, so make your plans early. You don’t have to be Norwood resident to join the NRMC but you must be at least 60 and retired or semi retired. Plenty of parking. Just walk in and someone will greet you.

The Neponset Valley Chamber of Commerce will be presenting "Mobile Technologies, the Cloud and Beyond...Marketing Technologies for Your Business," at Davio's Patriot Place in Foxborough, Feb. 11, from noon-2 p.m. The luncheon is $35 for members, $30 for non-members and includes a lunch buffet.
