Norwood Kindergarten Registration Dates

James Hayden, the Norwood superintendent of schools, announced that the school's kindergarten registration will be held the week of Feb. 10-14, at the George F. Willett Early Childhood Center, 100 Westover Parkway, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. There will also be a session Thursday, Feb. 13, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. It is very important that parents and guardians register their child during this week. In order to be eligible for kindergarten in September of 2014, a child must be five-years-old on or before Aug. 31, 2014.

Open Houses at Saint Catherine of Siena School
Saint Catherine of Siena School will be hosting open houses, Sunday, Jan. 26, from noon to 1 p.m. and Wednesday, Jan. 29, 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. The school is for pre-k through eighth grade. For more information, call 781-769-5354, ext. 262, or go to admissions@scnorwood.org.

Weight Loss Seminar Wednesday
A free weight loss information seminar will be held Wednesday, Jan. 15, from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Norwood Hospital’s Center for Weight Control, Abraham-Sieracki Conference Room, 800 Washington Street, Norwood. Norwood Hospital’s Weight Loss Center Medical Director Adam Glasgow, MD. is an expert in the field of weight loss and was recently featured on local and national television. You will also hear first-hand from patients who have undergone weight-loss treatment options at Norwood Hospital. Guests are welcome. Tony V at Norwood Theatre
Back by popular demand after a sold out show in October 2012, Tony V will be returning to The Norwood Theatre. Saturday, Jan. 18, at 8 p.m., The Norwood Theatre kicks off their 2014 season with a hilarious night of stand up comedy. Tickets for Comedy Night with Tony V are $24 for seniors and $27 for adults.
