Norwood Track Teams to Face Walpole

The Norwood boys' and girls' indoor track teams will be facing Walpole at the Reggie Lewis Athletic Center in a 4:30 p.m. match.

Marchena to Play Guitar Concert in Medfield
Norwood's Steve Marchena, whose guitar artistry ranges from classical to contemporary, will perform at the Medfield Public Library, Sunday, Jan. 12, at 3 p.m. Admission is free. Marchena is currently the Guitar Instructor-In-Residence at Bentley University in Waltham.

Norwood Retired Men's Club to Meet Jan. 14

The first meeting in the 28th year for the Norwood Retired Men’s Club will be Tuesday, Jan. 14, 10 a.m. in the Norwood Elks. President Tom Tobin will again lead for the 2014 year. They will be selling tickets for their 11th annual Valentine dinner. It will be held at the Apollo this year and will be open to the general public as well. The price will be $30 per person. You will have a choice of scrod or prime rib. It will be at noon on Tuesday, Feb. 11. Tables of 10 can be reserved in advance. There will be a limited number, so make your plans early. You don’t have to be  Norwood resident to join the NRMC but you must be at least 60 and retired or semi retired. Plenty of parking. Just walk in and someone will greet you.

Run to Benefit HESSCO
The third annual Mike Morgan's St. Patrick 5K to benefit HESSCO Elder Services Saturday, March 15, at 9 a.m. at Mick Morgan's Irish Pub, Route 1, Sharon. Charles River Running to Host Healthcare Professional Night
Charles River Running will be holding a night for healthcare professionals, Wednesday, Jan. 15, from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. There will be free goody bags for the first 20 to RSVP by Jan. 10. There will be massage, refreshments, free products from Feetures compression socks, Zensah compression sleeves, Hoka One One Shoes and Rodan and Fields Skin Car. RSVP by 781-349-8341.
