'Taking Root' to be Shown at Morrill Public Library

The Together Yes Fall Film Series will be held Wednesday, Nov. 13, at the Morrill Public Library at 7 p.m. "Taking Root," the vision of Wangari Maathai” is the second selection in the fall film series presented by the organization Together Yes. Wangari Maathai founded the Green Belt Movement in Kenya in 1977. She was the first environmentalist and the first African woman to win the Nobel Peace Prize. -The Permanent Building Construction Committee meeting will be Thursday, Nov. 14, at Norwood Town Hall, room 11, at 7:30 p.m.

-Norwood's Laura Allignfer is performing with the Improv South out of the Uncommon Threatre Company, Friday, Nov. 15., at the Burrell School Auditorium, 16 Morse St., Foxborough at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $5 for adults and $3 for students and seniors.

-"Talk to the T" is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 13, from 7 to 9 a.m. at Downtown Crossings. MBTA general manager Dr. Beverly Scott and the senior staff will be on answer questions.
