The Fall Recycling Day will be held Saturday, Sept. 28, from 8-11 a.m. at the composting facility off of Winter Street. Proof of residency is required, which can be a compost facility permit, driver's license or utility bill. There will be no leaf or brush or bulk disposal. Please stay in your car as volunteers and staff will unload the car. If you are interested in volunteering, call the health department at 781-762-1240.
The Corvettes Doo Wop Revue will be performed at the Norwood Theatre Saturday at 8 p.m. Tickets are $29 for adults and $26 for seniors. The box office is open today and Friday from 10-noon and 3-5 p.m.
It will be Norwood Youth Soccer Day at the New England Revolution game Saturday at 7:30 p.m. The Revs will be playing the Houston Dynamo. Tickets are $23 each, which is normally $37. All Norwood youth soccer players who attend the match will be entered for a chance to receive pre-game field passes.
The Norwood Youth Football teams will be traveling to Natick for games on Saturday. Games will start at noon.
Lucy the R.E.A.D. will be at the Morrill Public Library, Saturday at 10 a.m. Lucy is a trained companion dog who loves to listen to children to read to her. She will also be visiting Oct. 25 and Nov. 23.
