BAY COLONY PERFORMING ARTS ACADEMY ANNOUNCES CHILDREN’S MUSICAL THEATRE CLASSES IN NORWOOD

The award-winning Bay Colony Performing Arts Academy invites you to join us for two fun and exciting musical theatre classes at our new Norwood Campus, located at the historical Norwood Theatre!

During this 13-week program, students will work together to learn the process of putting on a show, from auditions, to the rehearsals, to the final presentation.

We will be offering a Grades 3-6 Musical Theatre class on Tuesdays from 4:00 – 5:30 pm as well as a Grades 7-12 Musical Theatre class on Tuesdays from 5:30 – 7:00 pm. Students in Grades 3-6 will work towards a presentation of Disney’s 101 Dalmatians KIDS will students in Grades 7-12 will present Seussical, Jr.

Classes will begin on Tuesday, March 4th at the Norwood Theatre located at 109 Central Street in Norwood, Massachusetts.

The Bay Colon Performing Arts Academy has been providing children of all ages with classes in musical theatre, dance, and music since 1999.

The instructors for this program will be Director/Choreographer Cailin Dyke and Music Director Colin Sullivan. Cailin recently graduated magna cum laude from Bridgewater State University where she majored in Theatre Education and Dance Education. During her time at Bridgewater, Cailin worked on choreography for multiple productions, earning her an Outstanding Choreography award from the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival. Cailin was also the recipient of the Judith Glynn Memorial Award for her dedication to the arts. Colin has studied voice and acting at both the University of Southern California and Bridgewater State University. He is a classically trained singer and has been involved with independent study and operatic roles for eight years. Colin performed in Viterbo, Italy as part of the Tuschia Opera Festival and has participated in various master classes including Acting for the Singer with renowned actor Michael York.
