Dedham Medical Associates Nationally Recognized as Leading Medical Practice

(Dedham, Mass.) November 4, 2013Dedham Medical Associates, an affiliate of Atrius Health, has been recognized as one of the leading medical practices in the nation by the Medical Group Management Association (MGMA).  The practice was named a “better performer” by the MGMA for its superior operational performance compared to other medical group practices nationwide.

For over 75 years, Dedham Medical Associates has been committed to delivering excellent and compassionate care. To achieve this better-performing status, the practice focused on improving primary care as a patient-centered medical home and designing processes to continually review and measure performance.  The patient-centered medical home model of care, where each patient has an ongoing relationship with a personal physician who leads a team of clinicians and staff, is resulting in more personalized, coordinated, effective and efficient care.

The MGMA report, a benchmarking standard among medical groups for more than a decade, was produced using data from respondents to the MGMA Cost Survey: 2013 Report Based on 2012 Data as well as data from a questionnaire that assessed management behaviors, practices and procedures of better performers. The report profiles medical practices that have demonstrated success in one or more areas: profitability and cost management; productivity, capacity and staffing; accounts receivable and collections; and patient satisfaction. MGMA recognized Dedham Medical Associates for its success in all of these key areas.
