Host ELC Law Contributes to Success of Ellie Fund's "Real Golfers Wear Pink" – Raises over $30,000

Epstein, Lipsey & Clifford, P.C., a full-service law firm that provides services in the field of real estate, Social Security, workers’ compensation, and personal injury and based in Hanover, raised more than $30,000 in support of the Ellie Fund’s “Real Golfers Wear Pink” fundraiser, hosted at the Easton Country Club in Easton, Massachusetts on June 20th.

Golfers from across the state participated in the event, with  all proceeds benefiting the Ellie Fund, a Needham-based nonprofit that works to fight breast cancer and ease its effects on patients and families by providing transportation to medical appointments, childcare, housekeeping, groceries and meals free of charge to more than 500 women and family members across Massachusetts each year.

“Once again we are honored to be part of a team that made the tournament such a great success,” said Scott Clifford, partner at Epstein, Lipsey & Clifford.  “It is gratifying to know that the more than $30,000 we raised will go directly to patient services for this remarkable fund which does so much to help ease the burden of many families affected by this disease.”

“Many thanks to all who supported us at this important event and special thanks are extended to guests D.J. Williams and James Develin of the New England Patriots,” said Clifford.

Tournament participant Scott Dorsey, who spoke at the event about the impact the Ellie Fund had on his family during the period when his wife underwent successful treatment for breast cancer said, “The Ellie Fund’s generosity and support allowed us to focus on my wife’s treatment.  Most families are able to budget for a house, a car, or childcare but no family ever budgets for a cancer diagnosis.”

Said Dorsey, “The Ellie Fund helped us – a family with four young children – cover childcare expenses and provide healthy meals during a challenging time. Their assistance was invaluable, and we will always be grateful for their support.”

Epstein, Lipsey & Clifford, P.C. first became involved with the Ellie Fund in 2011 and since that time has raised nearly $79,000 for patient services provided by the Fund.
