Some autumn events in Norwood to mark on your calendars.

Halloween Costume Swap

Have yourself a green Halloween. Donate you gently worn Halloween costume to the Norwood Recreation Department on or before October 11. Come back and see if you can find a new costume for your child this Halloween season on Friday, October 12, from 4-7 p.m.

Pumpkins & Scarecrows on the Common

A fun-filled family festival on Norwood Common. Work with your family to design a scarecrow. Wood post supplied, you bring all the rest to make it your own. Prizes awarded to most unique. Cost is $10 per entry for pumpkin or scarecrow. Saturday, October 20, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Halloween Trunk or Treat

Decorate your car and bring candy to hand out in the Municipal Lot for Norwood’s first ever, Trunk or Treat! Spots are limited, so register your vehicle on or before Saturday, October 13. Children from the community are welcome to go vehicle to vehicle in their costumes to Trunk or Treat for free on Saturday, October 20 from 5-6 p.m.

Halloween Pumpkinfest

Decorate your pumpkin with hair, feathers, hats and more. All materials provided and staff on hand to assist. Fun for ages 3-8. Cost is $5 per resident $10 per non-resident. Thursday, October 25, 3:30-5:30 p.m.

Games, DJ, Costume Parade, Snacks, Face Painting, and more on Saturday, October 27 from 3-4:30 p.m. Cost is $5 per resident.
