Last Day to Add or Drop Classes at Norwood High

Today is the last day to add or drop a course at Norwood High School. No change will be made after Sept. 11.

Free Senior Summit at Norwood Senior
A free informational Senior Summit will be held at the Norwood Senior Center, Friday, Sept. 20, from 8:30-11:30 a.m. Norfolk District Attorney Michael Morrissey, Norwood Hospital and Norwood Council on Aging is partnering for the event. 

National Adult Day Services Week

Norfolk Adult Day Health Center located in Norwood, a nonprofit program of Community VNA, will join in the national celebration of the National Adult Day Services Week, Sept. 15– 21. Norfolk Adult Day Health Centers is one of more than 4,600 Adult Day Centers operating today in the United States.  Adult Day Services can significantly improve the lives of seniors and adults with functional and/or cognitive impairments, enabling them to live at home with family or friend caregivers. Call Norfolk Adult Day Health Center, located at 595 Pleasant Street in Norwood at 781-769-4495.

Today in Norwood Sports

The Norwood High girls' soccer team will be hosting Ursuline Academy today at 3:45 p.m. match, while the boys' and girls' cross-country teams will be at Newton North High School at 4 p.m. The girls volleyball team will be hosting Sharon at 4 p.m. The Norwood girls' swimming team will be going against Braintree at 4 p.m.

Welcome Back Summer

Summer is returning today, according to WHDH, with temperatures to be 88-95 with hazy, hot and humid conditions. Patchy morning fog lifts before the heat returns.
