Upcoming Activities from Norwood Recreation

Check out these upcoming events and activities from Norwood Recreation.

Registration for new winter programs is underway. Classes begin the week of Dec. 5. Classes include preschool music, karate, Skyhawks sports, Intergalatic Investigators, Art Mania, Kids Cook and Fitness classes. Registration is available on a first come, first served basis.

Decorate your home as the best and brighest in the neighborhood for the Holiday House Decorating Contest. Judging criteria includes orginality, arrangment, theme  and overall decoration. Open to Norwood residents only. Winner receives a gift certificiate to the OCC. Register before Dec. 15 and judging will take place on Thursday, Dec. 22.

Start getting your child ready for preschool while they get dropped off at Preschool Prep and you can run a few local errands. Class will include stories, crafts, exercise, snacks and yoga to keep your little one busy. Ages 2.5-4. Dec. 16, 9:30-11:30 a.m. Only $15.

Parents Night Out now back by popular demand, Dec. 9, 6:15-9:15 p.m. For ages 7-11 only, $7 per person. Games, crafts and large group activities.

Enjoy a night of dancing to the latest music at the Winter Wonderland Middle School Dance. Must bring Norwood School ID. $5 per person. Friday, Dec. 16, 7:00-9:30 p.m.

Explore all aspects of voice over work for all medias at Getting Paid to Talk. Participants will record a commercial script under the direction of the producer. Dec. 14, 6:30-9:30 p.m. $35 per adult.

Upcoming Sports Days at the Civic, Dec. 27-29, ages 7-11, 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. Only $25 per day includes lunch. Must register one week in advance.

Learn how to make chocolate candies, lollipops, molds and fillings at the Christmas Chocolate Demonstration, Monday, Dec. 12, 6:30-9:00 p.m. Grades 8 and older, $15 per person.
