What To Do Over February Vacation

A round up of some local activities and ideas to keep the vacationing kids busy and happy.

In case you don't have enough sports practices, dance lessons, karate classes, and - gasp - homework to keep the vacationing kids of Norwood busy next week, here are a few local activities and at-home ideas to help the town parents keep their sanity.

Yoga with Ms. Gina. Introductory yoga classes will be held for kids ages 2-7, at the Morrill Library on Wednesday, Feb. 22. Ages 2-4 at 10:00 a.m. and ages 5-7 at 11:00 a.m. These are beginner classes, and parents are encouraged to participate as well. Registration is required.

Toe Jam Puppet Band at the Civic. Stop by the show at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 22 for a kids concert that adults can enjoy too. Only $4 per person.

D.I.Y. Activities at FamilyFun.com. From crafts to printables and kid-friendly recipes, FamilyFun.com has all sorts of ways to keep your family amused.

'Slugs are Yummy!' Norwood author Joe Hart will be at the Morrill Library on Thursday, Feb. 23, to talk about his first children's book, "Slugs are Yummy!" Slimey activities will follow. This program will start at 11:00 a.m. and is recommended for kids pre-school to third grade.

Storytime at Barnes and Noble. There are several storytime activites happening next week in the children's section of Barnes and Noble at the Walpole Mall. Click here to check them out.

Bendable Books: A Yoga and Books Program. Yoga instructor Kristin Mulligan will be at Morrill Library to teach children yoga poses based on the books they read. This program starts at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 23, and is recommended for grades K-2.
