Movie Starring Kate Winslet to be Filmed in Norwood
"Labor Day" starring Winslet, Josh Brolin and James Van Der Beek will be filming at the Norwood Sport Center on July 18.
The will have a new claim to fame soon, as one of the locations in the film "Labor Day" to be released in 2013.
According to IMDB.com, the film stars Kate Winslet as depressed single mom Adele who with her son Henry offers a wounded, fearsome man a ride. As police search town for the escaped convict, the two gradually learn his true story as their options become increasingly limited.
At their meeting Tuesday night the Board of Selectmen approved parking for the film's vehicles on Cottage St. East, between Broadway and Central St. and Broadway between Cottage St. East and Vernon St. East as well as parking at the municipal lot opposite the Center.
