Olmstead to Perform in Walnut Hill School Show

Norwood's Haley Olmstead will perform memorable story-song “I’d Give it All for You” as part of a duet in Walnut Hill School for the Arts’ autumn production of

Songs for a New World later this month.Songs for a New World invites the audience along on a journey from a Fifth Avenue high-rise to a Spanish sailing ship, as characters navigate their own personal crossroads and experience the electric energy that comes with choosing whether to turn back or forge ahead.

Performances will take place on Oct. 25-26 at 8 p.m., Oct. 26 at 2 p.m., and Oct. 27 at 4 p.m. at Walnut Hill’s Keiter Center for the Performing Arts in Natick.

Olmstead is a senior at Walnut Hill where she previously played Mrs. Carterro in Flat Stanley and was cast in the ensemble of school productions How To Succeed in Business without Really Trying and Anything Goes.

Prior to theater training at Walnut Hill, Olmstead received training at New York’s Stella Adler Acting Studio, in Boston Conservatory’s Musical Theatre Dance Intensive program, and participated for several years in Open Fields, a Dover-based community theatre program.
