Please help us find Leonardo

The Bay State Animal Cooperative is asking for your help. Sometime
between noon and 6:00 pm on Friday, December 20 one of our 9-week old
kittens, Leonardo, went missing from the Petco adoption center in
Norwood, Mass.
Initially volunteers thought he had been adopted and internally we had
a made an error communicating this, but this was not the case. Next it
was thought maybe he had gotten out or been let out of his cage
unnoticed by the volunteers. This little kitten could not have
maneuvered doors and other obstacles required to escape any further
than the places we searched thoroughly. Though we wanted to believe
otherwise, it was evident he had been taken from the facility.
It had been noted that the cage he and his siblings shared was
unlocked when the evening volunteer reported for their Friday pm
shift. However, the morning volunteer had cared for Leonardo and put
him securely back into his cage.
Leonardo, a very young, male kitten was a sweet, short-haired, brown,
black and tan tiger kitten who was loved by everyone who visited him.
Many people had recently inquired about adopting him, some more
persistent than others, just before he went missing. Each of our
kitties have cage cards with their information. This very important
card along with Leonardo was gone.
We are asking that anybody who may have any details regarding this
very disturbing incident step forward and help us locate this kitten.
It is of utmost importance to us that we locate him and know that he
is safe. We believe someone who may not be a stranger to the
organization, the store, or this community knows where he is. We are
offering a reward for information leading to his safe return to us.
We take this very serious and are concerned for Leonardo's safety.
Anyone stealing a kitten is most likely un-able to provide for it or
has something to hide regarding their history of pet ownership.
If you know of anyone recently getting a new kitten that fits
Leonardo's description (photos included) do not hesitate to find out
where and when they got him and contact Bay State Animal Cooperative
anonymously at info@baystateanimals.org or call 781-436-2722 with
information.
Help us rescue Leonardo!
