Sharon, MA – January 31, 2014 – Jeff Forsythe, manager of Hammond Residential Real Estate’s Sharon office, recently announced that Betsy McGrath has affiliated with Hammond. In her new role, McGrath will assist clients from Hammond’s Sharon office located at 21 South Main Street.
McGrath has taken full advantage of all that New England has to offer since moving from Alaska to Sharon, where she and her husband relocated to raise their twins. She is an avid cyclist, walker, kayaker, snorkeler, and snow enthusiast. An active and well-known community member, McGrath has served as the President of the Cottage Street PTO, has taught at Moose Hill Wildlife Sanctuary for many years, and she has consulted numerous non-profits in connection with a host of topics including media, technology, administration, and support. In addition, McGrath played an integral role in the development of the Sharon Pluralism Network from a community program to a non-profit organization, and she has also served as a Conservation Commissioner since 2008. McGrath is a graduate of the College of Wooster and the University of Wisconsin, where she earned her bachelor’s degree, master’s degree, and doctorate in Geology.
Prior to her real estate career, McGrath lived, studied, and worked in many locations within the United States as a geologist. As a Hammond agent, her knowledge of the land at the surface and below, coupled with her own numerous relocations, give her a perspective that serves the needs and interests of buyers, sellers, and investors. She looks forward to putting her knowledge and experience to work as she successfully guides her clients through all phases of a real estate transaction.
