Marie Presti Re-Elected to Board of Directors of Realtor Trade Organization

 

 

Marie Presti, Broker/Owner of the Newton office of Realty Executives Esteemed Properties, has been re-elected to a second term as a director of the Greater Boston Association of Realtors® (GBAR). As a director, Presti serves as an elected representative of the general membership in governing the association’s policies, programs and business activities.  She is also an ambassador promoting Realtor® initiatives and communicating directly with members on behalf of GBAR leadership.   This includes visiting office meetings of local real estate firms and other industry forums to educate agents and brokers on GBAR programs and benefits, assessing membership sentiment and conveying concerns to association leadership, and informing local Realtors® about industry trends, public policy issues, and the organizational activities of the association that are relevant to members’ business.  In this elected position, Presti also serves as an association spokesperson and serves as a liaison between GBAR and state legislators through participation in “Calls-for-Action” on legislative and regulatory issues important to the real estate industry.

A Realtor ® since 2002, Presti is currently serving on three GBAR committees — Professional Standards, Grievance, and Awards Selection. Previously, Presti served on the GBAR Education, Technology and Publications Committees as well the Forms Task Force. She has earned her Certified Residential Specialist (CRS), Green Realtor Specialist (GREEN), Loss Mitigation Specialist (LMC), Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES), and Accredit Buyer Representative (ABR) professional designations.

Presti earned her MBA from the Olin Graduate School of Business at Babson College and her BA from Mount Holyoke College.  She specializes in luxury homes, rehabilitations, and multifamily/condominiums. In March 2009, she was named one of Boston's top 10 Real Estate Professionals by Women's Business Magazine. 

 

The Greater Boston Association of Realtors® is one of five real estate specialty divisions of the Greater Boston Real Estate Board.  The Association is the Board’s largest division, with a membership of more than 6,700 residential real estate professionals working in over 900 offices throughout Metropolitan Boston and Eastern Massachusetts.  The Board is a member of the National Association of Realtors® and the Massachusetts Association of Realtors®.
