Matt Brown Receives Bruins' Army Ranger Jacket

Norwood's Matt Brown is going to get to keep the Boston Bruins' special Army Ranger jacket, according to a report on CBS-Boston. 

Throughout their run to the Stanley Cup finals, Bruins gave the jacket to the player of the game for their 14 victories. Army Sgt. Lucas Carr gave the jacket to defenseman Andrew Ference, who now plays for the Edmonton Oilers.

“This jacket represents a lot of great things. I couldn’t think of a more worthy final recipient than you bud,” at tweeted  Brown’s Twitter handle, @mjb_3.

A Mustang player, Brown was paralyzed in a 2010 hockey game. 

Carr and Brown teamed up to run in the 2010 Boston Marathon, earning funds for the Boston Bruins Foundations.

The Boston Bruins honored Brown by having him drop the puck before a game at the TD Garden in March of 2102.
