Beyond the Cornucopia
The Norwood Evening Garden Club will hostaward winning floral designer, Maureen Christmas, presenting “Beyond the
Cornucopia” – arrangements to welcome the Christmas and Hanukkah holidays. Her
program will include design tips and a bit of history about the origins of some
common holiday customs. The design demonstration will be held Tuesday, December
3, at 6:45 p.m. at the Carriage House behind the First Baptist Church, 71 Bond
Street, Norwood. The public is invited to attend for a small donation.
Refreshments will be served and arrangements will be raffled at the end of the
evening.
Owner
of Floral Notes in Acton, MA, Ms. Christmas is an accredited Life National Garden
Clubs (NGC) flower show judge and is a member of the Creative Floral Arrangers
of the Americas. Her designs have won top awards at the New England Spring
Flower Show, Newport Flower Show and the Rhode Island Flower Show. They have
also been featured in the NGC Visions of Beauty calendar, ByDesign magazine of the Garden Club of America and Florists’ Review magazine.
A
member of The Garden Club Federation of Massachusetts, New England Region, and
National Garden Clubs, Inc., members of the Norwood Evening Garden Club have
been providing education and public beautification in Norwood and its
surrounding communities since 1996. The Club, open to novice and expert
gardeners, draws its members from Norwood, Walpole, Westwood, Dedham, Medfield,
Randolph, and Stoughton. For
