The Red Cross will hold its Norwood Community Blood Drive, sponsored by the Orient Lodge of Masons, on Saturday, November 30, 2012. Blood donors may come to the Norwood Masonic Building at 76 Day St. in Norwood from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Presenting donors will be offered a free breakfast and receive a Red Cross t-shirt.
Walk-ins are welcome and appointments are encouraged. To make an appointment, simply call 1-800-RED CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or visit http://tiny.cc/n5st6w to register.
A blood donor card or driver’s license, or two other forms of identification are required at check-in. Individuals who are 17 years of age (16 with parental permission in some states), weigh at least 110 pounds and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood. High school students and other donors 18 years of age and younger also have to meet certain additional height and weight requirements.
