Dorothea A. West (O'Hare), Longtime Norwood Resident

Dorothea A. West (O’Hare) longtime resident of Norwood, passed away on Monday, April 28, 2014, at home surrounded by her family.

Beloved wife of the late Walter F. West, D.M.D.; loving mother of Mary W. King of Norwood, Jane W. Wilson and her husband Keith of Marshfield, Susan W. McDonough and her husband Patrick of Norwood, Louise W. Gray and her husband Robert of Westwood, Christine W. Rydzewski of Norwood and Anne W. King of Norwood; cherished grandmother of Daniel, Suzanne, Robert, Courtney, Christina, Jessica, Patrick, Edward, William, Joseph, Brianne, Christopher, Michael and Jennifer; proud great-grandmother of Evangeline and Theodore; devoted sister of the late William O’Hare, Francis O’Hare and Mary O’Flanagan.  She is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and dear friends.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 1st at 9 a.m. from the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole Street (Rte. 1A), Norwood, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 547 Washington Street, Norwood.  Interment will follow the Mass in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, West Roxbury. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
