F. Marion, (Kimball) D'Espinosa, 89, a lifelong resident of Norwood, passed away Monday, Dec. 24.

F. Marion, (Kimball) D'Espinosa, 89, a lifelong resident of Norwood, Monday, Dec. 24.

Born April 8, 1923 Marion was the daughter of the late Scott Kimball and Florence (Morgan). She was the beloved wife of the late John W. D'Espinosa, loving mother of William D'Espinosa and his wife Carol of Taunton, Mary-Ellen D'Espinosa and her husband, Richard Posklensky of Millis, and Jean D'Espinosa of Medford, cherished grandmother of Scott, John, Christopher, and Laura great-grandmother of 5, the devoted sister of William O'Donnell of E. Walpole, Marie Wessling of GA and the late Ruth Roche. She was loving aunt of several nieces and nephews.

Marion was a graduate of Norwood High School, a member of St. Catherine of Siena Parish and served as treasurer of the Sodality. She also served as a Eucharistic Minister. Marion was a long-time volunteer at St. Catherine School and the Norwood Hospital.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday, Dec. 28, at 8 a.m. from the Gillooly Funeral Home, 126 Walpole St., (Rt. 1A) Norwood, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 9 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 547 Washington St., Norwood. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery, Norwood. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, Dec. 27, from 4-8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Marion's memory to the Activities Fund at Sunrise of Norwood Assisted Living, 84 Saunders Rd., Norwood, 02062 or to St. Catherine of Siena School, 249 Nahatan St., Norwood, MA 02062. The family would also like to extend its thanks to the staff at the Sunrise Assisted Living for all the compassionate care that they provided for Marion.
