Gloria V. (Rafuse) Dramis, 75, of Westwood, formerly of Norwood, died Friday, Dec. 6. Mrs. Dramis was born in Norwood, Aug. 23, 1938, the daughter of Vernon and Frances (Taylor) Rafuse.
Gloria was the beloved wife of the late Robert Dramis, loving mother of Julie and her husband, Alan Lach of Norton and Kathy and her husband Roger Paige of CA; cherished grandmother of Lindsey, Jonathan, and T.J. Lach and Elizabeth and Joey Paige; dear sister of Bobby Rafuse of N. Attleboro, Sally Russell of Canton, Phyllis Donlon of NJ, Brenda Zonfrillo of Norwood and the late Helen Puopolo, Maxine Weldon, Shirley Grant and Betty Lou Pelletier; and the adored aunt of many nieces and nephews.
She is also survived by her jumping terrier, Freddie. Gloria worked as a teacher at the Westwood Children’s Center for many years and prior to that in the Westwood Schools’ cafeterias, including at the Deerfield School and Westwood High School, while her daughters attended school there.
Gloria enjoyed playing softball and bowling at the Norwood Recreational Center . She was also an avid New England sports fan. Most of all, she loved spending time with her entire family, especially her grandchildren, and also with her Westwood neighbors at many neighborhood gatherings.
