Mr. Burkett was a US Air Force veteran and a retired sprinkler fitter for the Local Union #550.
John P. Burkett of Norwood died on Feb. 17, 2013 at the age of 73.
Loving Partner of Elizabeth K. Burkett of Norwood. Brother of Paul Burkett of Bourne, Joseph Burkett of FL and the late James Burkett, Leo Burkett, Bob Burkett, Mark Burkett, Rita Stokinger, Doris Fitzpatrick and Marie McShea. Son of the late Mark A. and Mary V. (McCabe) Burkett. Grandfather of Zachery Perez and Alexandra Perez. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
A funeral home service will be held 12 Noon on Saturday Feb. 23, 2013 at the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home 1248 Washington St. Norwood, MA.
