Norwood Obituary: Patrick Arthur Gray

Patrick Arthur Gray, of Norwood, age 91, died on Feb. 21, 2013 at his home with his family in attendance.

Beloved husband of Eileen P. (Rock) Gray. Devoted father of Robert P. Gray and his wife “Mimi” of Norwood, Patricia Andrews of Norton, Brian Gray and his wife Laureen of West Newton, Karen McNally of Litchfield, NH and the late Richard Gray. Loving brother of Kenneth Gray of Walpole, Yvonne Hughes of Scituate and the late Norman Gray, Patricia Gaudet, Rev. George Gray, Herbert Gray, Dorothy McGaregil and Loretta Gray. Cherished grandfather of 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Son of the late Herbert and Annie (Smith) Gray.

Mr. Gray was a graduate of Hyde Park High School class of 1942. Shortly thereafter he served in the US Navy during WWII. He was a long time employee of the City of Boston. He also worked various part time jobs through his 83rd year. In his later years he enjoyed golf and winters in Florida with his wife to whom he was quite devoted.

Funeral from the Kraw-Kornack Funeral Home 1248 Washington St. Norwood, Mass. Tuesday Feb. 26, 2013 at 8am followed by a funeral mass at 9 a.m. at St. Catherine of Siena Church Norwood, Mass. Visiting hours will be held on Monday Feb. 25, 2013 from 4-8 p.m. Burial with military honors will follow the mass at the Mass National Cemetery Bourne, MA at 12:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in his name to the JDRF 26 Broadway New York, NY 10004.
