The following are recent obituaries for Norwood.

Joseph "Jay" Vincent

Joseph "Jay" of Vincent, of Norwood, died peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Oct. 1, 2013. 

Son of the late Joseph Vincent and Rowena (Washburn) and step-father, Captain Sidney Merrill. Jay was the beloved husband of Elizabeth (Macaulay), loving father of Patrick Vincent of Fall River and cherished step-father of Christiana Rose and husband, Brian of Norwood , Kerstin Cody and her husband John of North Attleboro. Dear brother of Patricia Budd and her husband Richard of Portland, Maine, and the late Judith Stevens and Barbara Larison. Cherished "Papa" of Timmy and Samantha Rose and Johnny and Amelia Cody. 

He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Jay's family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the Julia Ruth House of Westwood for the many joyful days Jay enjoyed in their trusting care, the Norwood Senior Center members for their kindness and companionship and the Stanley Tippett House of Needham for the compassionate care they rendered.

A Mass of Christian Burial on Oct. 4 at 9 a.m. at St. Timothy Church, 650 Nichols St, Norwood, MA. Interment will be held at 2:30 p.m. at the Massachusetts National Cemetery in Bourne. 

Because of floral restrictions at the cemetery, donations can be made to the Circle of Hope, P.O. Box 421, Norwood, MA 02062.

Angelia (Mariano) Petrozzi

Angelia (Mariano) Petrozzi of Walpole, formerly of Norwood and Dedham, died Sept. 30. She was the beloved wife of the late Dante Petrozzi, the loving mother of Dante F. Petrozzi, and his wife, Linda of Northampton, Linda Winslow and her husband, Edwin, of Walpole. She is also survived by five grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

She was sister of the late Florence, Adeline, Carmela, Rose, Susanne, Freddie, Gerry, Angelo and Sandi.

Angelina was a retired employee of the Mass Division of the Employment Security. She was active for many years in the Norwood Women's Club, Norwood Sons of Italy and volunteered at Norwood Hospital.

The funeral will be from George F. Doherty & Sons, Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St., Dedham, Friday, at 9 a.m., followed by a Funeral Mass at St. Timothy's Church in Norwood at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are kindly invited. Visiting hours are Thursday, 5 to 8 p.m. and interment will be in the Brookdale Cemetary in Dedham.

Expressions of sympathy may be made in Angelina's memory to  the New Pond Village Holiday Fund, 180 Main St., Walpole.
