Annie (Fong) Wong, 84, a resident of Norwood for 54 years, died Sunday, December 22, 2013 at the Norwood Hospital in Norwood, Massachusetts, after a brief illness.
Annie was born Nov. 3, 1929 in Calexico, CA. She earned her associate degree from San Diego State University and worked for a short time in the bursar’s office at MIT in Boston. She worked for many years as the secretary at the First Congregational Church in Norwood. In addition to being a member of the Church she was a member of the Friendly Service there, and she volunteered at the WCC Thrift Shop in Norwood.
A private burial will be in Forest Hills Cemetery in Boston. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Jan.18, at 1 p.m. at the First Congregational Church of Norwood, 100 Winter St., Norwood, MA 02062. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to the Annie F. and David A. Wong Memorial Fund, First Congregational Church, 100 Winter St., Norwood, MA 02062, would be appreciated.
